Comment: I think my heart broke a little over the scene between Aghi and Palza. Oh, Aghi! Hesma spared him the trouble of dealing with the other villain, but dealing with your own comrade is so much worse. Hesma seems to be a very non nonsense and brash person, with a taste for fighting like Soreto. And Soreto's playfulness is so unlike anime!Soreto. Haha about telling Aghi off not to be shy. The nice touch was her tending to Mel. Was delighted that Hasmodeye was still the reflective and thoughtful person we saw in the anime. I can imagine him being the group's chronographer. Aghi/Mel. I'm not sure what I think of it. I still secretly believe Aghi and Soreto belong together. Lastly, Palza's rambling about belonging to which side of existence. Really couldn't think of a better word for it. I think he was referring to whether their souls now belonged to Greecia or to Earth's side when they die.
I've been dying to understand what this chapter was about since 2009 (but got held up by volume 1) which explains the quicker translation. It turned to be an emotionally charged chapter as I predicted. Now, I wish I could muster just as much enthusiasm in interpreting the rest of Volume 2. Thoma reappears (he really can't stay away from Helga can he?) and Dumas makes an appearance. Unfortunately, I accidentally read someone's summary of the ending of volume 2 and it just left me... as in it just confirmed my suspicions that the manga's more like official fanfiction... So I'm not very keen to continue reading.
