So I am going to Mississippi for spring break!! Karen and I are taking a very long road trip, 19 hours, and going to Pass Christian, Mississippi to help with Katrina relief. I've been to pass christian. The area you'll be in in mississippi is like 2 hours from new orleans. A lot of new orleans as far as businesses and nightlife is up an running again. Fun stuff. Have fun in the tented community. I stayed in a shelter and the seebee base most of the time in gulfport and biloxy. but now all the americorps stays in the tents. you'll run into a ton of americorps down there. i might actually be down there in march if my project gets changed. have fun! you're amazing!
