Erika, that's a great idea. I have been making some small watercolors lately, and I will be happy to launch some 4" x 6" ebay and etsy pieces on the 28th ( ... )

Hi Caren I saw some of your smaller pieces with the lovely colorful horses :) You would be our first Etsy I think unless I list there too!

OMG I'll have to check out the postcard art on Etsy! We probably won't change the name from OSWOA since my friend already bought related domain names for it. But thanks for reminding me about those!

As a matter of fact I own a Duane Keiser ;) I bought one from him months before he started to sell on Ebay so I've been a long-time follower. He called them postcard size then but I think they were more arbitrary small masonites - I had to custome frame my painting from him HMPH! However he must have gotten complaints because after a few sales on Ebay he regulated his dimensions hehehe Well I can't afford his art anymore but I bet my painting has gone up in value! I have one of his tuna sushi painting which I bought when I first moved to Arkansas because I was so homesick for my California sushi eating life :(

Erika, that's great you own one of Duane's paintings!

It's also smart to paint in standard sizes, 'cause custom framing is often more expensive than the art itself.

Most of the postcard art I've seen on etsy has been fabric, and many of them are surprisingly inexpensive. I bought some for under $10 and I'm not sure I would make fabric art for that kind of money. But they probably sew faster than I do.

I am not clear--is the OSWOA site up yet?

Caren
