Today is the first day of winter because I say so. Things like that don't depend on the position of the moon or where the earth is in relation to the sun. It depemnds on the first snow and the first time it feels like winter

Today was the first snow here. I loved it and I totally agree that the first really cold day/snow is the start of winter and the first flower is the start of spring.
