all of my friends have stopped calling me. when i do talk to them they all seem to be angry with me. i don't recall doing anything wrong but the least they could do is tell me if i did do something and then i could fix it

I was on the phone with Kate, and I was counting the mad loot I got from college graduation after my party. I made a remark like, "damn, if I got this much money for graduation, think how much dough I'd pull if we got married." She didn't find it as funny as I did.

Not that I don't think marriage is a laughable statist attempt to institutionalize and bind love to the law (as opposed to the two in love), but hey, poverty sucks.
