Patt won the Moonridge auction for 5 drabbles/ficlets from me and I finally surfaced enough to start writing again - and completed 2 of the 5 last night. She graciously asked me to post them rather than keep them to herself, so you have her to thank for these.

Thanks hon. I'm glad you liked them. I know I'm always a squish writer, but lately I've just wanted to overload on the sweet and squishy. Like hot chocolate on a cold evening - with marshmallows.

Oh so much more than a drabble, these were lovely and welcoming and warm like a wedge of hot crumbling cornbread slathered with butter consumed on a cold rainy day.

Wheeee. Thanks hon..that's exactly what I've been needing lately and so it makes sense that's what I'm writing just now. My deeper, more complex stuff will have to wait for a bigger break than I have now.

Oh, and I'll take some nice hot chocolate with marshmallows with that cornbread. Can you tell how my grandmother tended to us on cold, rainy days?
