I'm researching the secret lives of seahorses for a fisheries ecology paper. They have little woobie faces and the males get pregnant as opposed to the females.

And believe me, frumpy party-pooper is a role to which I could never, ever in a million years assign you.

Visualize fat pregnant daddy seahorses instead. It's amusing, I swear.

I'm working at it, if by "working" you mean "idly moving columns of numbers from one part of the spreadsheet to another, frowning, then moving them back." Luckily, I don't think the data analysis is going to take half as much time as I thought it would.

Now, the Julias of the world are off to be productive.

There... wasn't it god to get all that off your chest? My advice for you right now is to focus on your life, you're important,too! It may seem insensitive, but sometimes it's easier to try and block other things out for a while. It helps keep you sane.

And congratulations on making principal in orchestra! That's so amazing! I'm sure I speak for everyone when I exclaim how proud we are of you!!

It WAS good to get it off my chest. I feel loads better today for it (even though not much of the reality has changed). I think I DO need to block other things out...and somehow try not to worry...worry is the productivity killer!

Awwwwww, thank you. :) I'm pretty happy about it. Nat and I are sharing the position, actually--we're trading off, so it worked out for the both of us. and as for YOU--any further developments in the summer plans lately?

Well, I haven't heard anything about the funding yet, so I don't know if the whole thing is actually "a go". I'm kind of starting to get worried... but let's keep our fingers crossed!
