Fanon Things I hate in regards to Jason Todd
Things that aren't canon (or was briefly but isn't being used anymore) that I'm tired of seeing brought up.
1. "Jason is a red head." No, he's not. Not post-Crisis Jason Todd. Morrison was trying to cram something in that simply doesn't work with the street kid origin. Jason was shown as a dark haired boy since he met Bruce and he wasn't dying his hair when he was brain damaged. Besides having Bruce force him to dye his hair is creepy.
2. "Jason loves bread." This is a horrible joke started by a panel of a starving brain damaged Jason eating a piece of bread he stole. Yeah, make fun of the poor kid that's stealing to survive and can't function like he used to. Classy.
3. "Jason is Damians' dad." I hate this one the most. Morrison created Damian with Bruce in mind as the father. Winick admit that Talia first used Jason as a surrogate in place of Damian, meaning he was already born. Plus this theory makes no sense. Jason would have to be 8 when Talia got pregnant. Even with the idea of her advancing Damians' age he would only be one since right after LD Jason goes into the Hush stuff. Damian has far more training than a year and met his mother at 8.
Besides going against the point of Damians' character think about it. Would DC really want to make Bruce a grandfather?
