She Kills Monsters

Last night we saw She Kills Monsters, a play involving Dungeons and Dragons, at the Flea. I thought it was just fine, and very cute. If you're looking for entertainment with loads of non-white non-straight people who also happen to be playing D&D, and it's 2nd edition, in the mid-1990's, clearly you need to see it. if you examined the game module (invitingly left on the table after the show), you can see that cutouts from 3rd edition are taped to the pages of the notebook.

i suspect tillius's appearance was based off of the 3rd edition rogue, despite being a paladin.

as I said at the time, there are a number of anachronism issues -- for one, Tilly died when add2 was still in the process of being released, the MM referred to by the dm apparently only bein released after her death. There are, as Noah says, some 3e flourishes as well, but all that is not the point of it at all.
