Awful news.  Finalizing my schedule with my adviser, and she told me that NYU was forcing me to take a language class, which isn't so bad.  The bad, bad news is, I have to drop one of my other classes!!  I must choose between New Currents in French Literature and Contemporary French Theater.  I'm wretched!

keeping the theatre...c'mon, you can read french books no matter what country you are in...but you can only experience the theatre when you are there! it's a no brainer!

So it won't let me vote, I click on it and it goes all Russkii, and I'm not really wanting to deal with that on my computer break...
but you should definitely take the theater class.
You can read at home- you can't go to french plays at home.

What a bummer. Why the change in the curriculm? Would have signed up for the program if you knew this would be the situation? Stand up for yourself and give them heXX! If you have to choose, choose the theater and have some fun!

Maybe too late, maybe not - but you should do theatre! As Matt put it - experience French theatre in France.

It seems like you have had your typical quirky time in France. I like how you just happened upon the Louvre. I'm so jealous of all you people in Europe!!!
