they floored me the other night in buffalo. i wasn't even all that into the new album but after seeing them i kinda suspect the problem was me and i just haven't been paying enough attention. i'll return to it soon but in the meantime i've just been listening to mercury and being amazed all over again by how fucking great it is...

The quality of their songs can be very hit or miss at times, but Mark's voice is so golden that I can stand listening to it on even the most mediocre tunes.

Best Mercury tracks, to me? What Godzilla Said to God When His Name Wasn't Found in the Book of Life (which is also, let's be fair, one of the best song titles ever), Johnny Mathis' Feet, Gratitude Walks, and maybe even I've Been a Mess.
