You get 'im, Madam! Jack seems to forget he's not quite as legendary as he would like ... and sometimes, more notorious than is good for him!

Oh, that second one is just beautiful....

First one's full of fun, but damn. Whatever else you can say about Jack (and you could say a lot), he loves his Pearl. I love that moment when he first gets back on board her in the first movie, and he just pats her railing a little.... Yeah. A captain and his ship is always the makings of an OTP (Like Kirk and Enterprise, or Dean and his Impala).

Yup, I'm a sap for the OTPs of a man and his machine. When I read Arwen's prompt I also flashed back to Jack in that moment when he first reclaims the Pearl, and the rest of the scene just played like a film in my mind. All I had to do was find the words to tell it. :-)

Thanks muchly for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed.

Jack and the Pearl is my OTP, and you have captured the two of them beautifully. The truly is a work of art! And speaks the language of the sea, the communion of a man and his ship. Lovely.

The first, why that is just Jack at his finest, and the nautical terminology is priceless as well. I would like to think Jack made good on his promise, but somehow I envision him shimmying down the downspout and slipping away long before sunrise.
