Grocery store encounters

I started petsitting today, which also means I have a car once again! Yay! I launched myself out this morning early and moved my things to my housesitting job, then to the grocery store in search of rutabagas for Thanksgiving. I was lucky enough to borrow a car on Sunday and got sweet potatoes then, while they were on sale. I got some rutabagas

Swedes indeeds!

LOL, yes, Swedes indeeds! The poor lady was really worried when she couldn't find "Swedes" because she thought she wouldn't be able to make this special recipe. Then when she realized that we called them by a different name and they were indeed right in front of her, she was so relieved! She was such a nice woman. I have to also say I was surprised because in all of these years, this is the first time somebody else has been buying rutabagas at the same time as I was. : - )
