Good for you. I'll be reading, & perhaps commenting, from my political blog account as "The Raven."

For the rest...I haven't read too much yet, but my sense is that many young people are frustrated at the stagnation of the times and many others are in denial. These are the times that Yeats foresaw, when "The best lack all conviction / While the worst are full of passionate intensity." I regard recognizing and acting on it as healthy, but will caution that changing these things takes time. Patience and building a personal support network is necessary to avoid burnout.
