Work

Friday was a buddy's last day here.
Me: Hey
Him: Hey what's up?
Me: Well, I was going to spray paint EAT PUSSY on the front of the building for you last night, but I just didn't get around to it.
He laughed.

It probably started when the asshole owner (the one that called my mom a whore to her face) started hiring a bunch of consultants that know nothing about the industry to tell him how to do his job. I'm sure their salaries could have supported a small village in Africa for a few years. Or at least made sure that none of our paychecks bounced (I think 5 did so far.)
My boss, the other owner left to go run his other companies because he couldn't deal with current owner's BS anymore. The acting COO took over his position as sales manager and left a week later for the same reason. Our two biggest salespeople are leaving or already gone. That's probably 3/4 of the sales we bring in every month. They're pretty much going to have to lay off everyone but maybe 10 people to stay and run our hosted services, which is what the jerk off CTO wants any way.
I don't get paid commission on any checks that come in after I quit so I'm trying to stick around until a couple of big payments come in. Pretty much I'll stay until my paycheck bounces, then I'm out. I'm not going to sit around and wait for it to happen a second time.

I've been here for 6 years. Since I was 18. I think looking for a new job will be comparable to dating after being in a relationship from 15-21. Interesting to say the least. At least I have some contacts having made friends with the two bosses that left the company. Yep. Change is a comin'. Hopefully it means a similar salary and workload, but I've always said it'll be hard to find someone to pay me as much to do as little work as I do. Which is the main reason I haven't just walked out the door.
