I remember those. What happens with your car? I imagine you'll need to get that fixed, I don't remember being able to drive from Lubbock to Houston without going through some rain pretty much ever.
Last fall, my car's engine had to be replaced after a flood. It was up to its windshield in flood water, so I don't blame it, but still. I can drive through rain no problem- on the way back up here this summer, the rain was so bad most people pulled over but if I had, it wouldn't have started back up. So.. 25mph on I-20 with my hazards on, following a car who's lights I could barely see. When we finally got through the rain.. it was another Elantra.
When it's particularly wet, it just refuses to start. It makes some sad sputtering sounds, and if you get it to go, it won't move out of park. Unfortunately, showing this phenomenon to car service people in Lubbock is nigh impossible because of the lack of rain.
Lovely picture! My mom approves, because personal privacy never entered into the equation at my house.
Remind me to send you the song "Car and Driver". I think you'll get a kick out of it, and it can be the theme song for your car refusing to start in the rain.

Of course as soon as your car putters out the rain stops. Oh life. :P

Ooooh, yeah. And I'm sure if I'd gone in, somehow, it would have rained again.
