I just spent a couple of hours seriously looking into attending a university in Australia. It's got one of the best school for religious history, and, well, it's Australia. It's be $30,000 a year with living expenses if I live on campus. Which doesn't seem like that much....until I think about being in debt that much since I won't be working much ( Read more... )

It's been so long, I'm out of the loop! Are you and Austin still together? Are you still working at the jobs you worked at when I last spoke with you?

yes, Austin and I are still together. I work for TNT Fireworks still and he works for Providence. We live in NE Portland.

I would love to hang out with you sometime. I still have the same cell number and you should call me. :)

I think you CAN make stuff for a living, but don't quit your job just yet. There's gotta be a demand for the stuff you make, and it's gotta be good. It would take a lot of work to build up a business from scratch. What would you make?

Also, I know you've mentioned that college in AU before. I think you should go for it, but maybe not for a few years. Or maybe not even til your 30s.

I need to just start making stuff in my free time. I registered for a ceramics class and I'm going to take a few of the glass classes at Aquila. Then there's sewing and knitting projects. I might take up weaving as well....but then that starts to seem like too many mediums.

My goal for awhile has been to get my degree in Accounting and then go back to school for religious history after I have enough money to do it comfortably. So, it's still out there in my future, I just want a change now.

au $ actually, now that you mention it, but that's still $24,000 us approximately...and that's just the undergrad, the part I'm really interested in is their graduate school.
