*sigh*. So much has happened, and of course I wait until late at night, just before we leave for the East coast and a mini-tour to type here.

So.... rapidly..

1) My sister now has her own blog and she's far more diligent about updating (so far) than I am here. Plus it has cute pictures of my adorable nephew Oscar too ( Read more... )

Oh, and I meant to say that I'm glad you're OK after that crash! And happy early birthday (it's your birthday in the UK already and almost your birthday in Michigan)!

I had a wonderful time with Emily, though her visit was all too short. We did lots of shopping, this being the primary reason for her trip: new clothes, and plenty of fabric. Plus she got to head out to Boston with us for a gig there. I do miss her *sigh*. Only downside was having a BIG work deadline for the grant (see previous post of 1 month ago).

Oh, and I owe you money. Let me have an address and I'll mail a check or something!

There's a pub in Greenwich Village if I recall correctly called The Slaughtered Lamb Pub, which is neat if you're into An American Werewolf in London. There's also the East Village, around St. Mark's, which is all gothy. I really enjoy The Cloisters, and it has free parking which is amazing. I also like to ride on the last car on the subway and look out the back window. And as Em can testify, the Staten Island Ferry is free. :)

Here's what I've found to be the most useful NYC Subway Map.

Happy Birthday to you! *Hugs*

Age is just a relatively silly number anyway. As a measure of how old you really are it's woefully imprecise: just look at all the hacks that have been done to the calendar to try to make it approximate the solar year. On top of that, what's so special about base 10? You could just as reasonably say that you're 24 (in base 16, which is much more useful).

Having said that: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Belated Birthday.
I'm glad you got through the accident and are working on the panic. My roommates and I had a similar thing a few months back and it was quite scary even tho in our case the only thing that got banged up was my wheelchair on the back of the suv.
I'm going to friend you. Please let me know if that's not okay.
