It *looks* like an update...

I was supposed to have plans for this weekend, but I don't know what's going on now. I've been sick for *two weeks.* I'm getting a lot better - thanks in part to a nice little dose of antibiotics, a really good anti-inflammatory (because I hurt the cartilage in my neck by coughing so hard), and cough syrup with codeine. MMmmmmm, feel the ( Read more... )

OK, if you don't put your X3 update behind an LJ cut, I am GOING TO COME AFTER YOU WITH A BUTCHER KNIFE!

(You'd probably be able to kick my ass even if I had a knife, but you get the idea ^^)

Two weeks is a long time to have a cough! Did you see the doctor??

I run into people from GW all the time (which never fails to be bizarre).

Dude, I'd hate that @_@;; it would feel too weird... not to mention I've forgotten a lot of people's names ^^;;

There probably won't be one, but I will definitely LJ-cut it if there is. I *hate* when people ruin movies or books for me because of spoilers.

And yes, I saw a doctor, although after I was feeling much better. (I got worried when my neck - not throat - hurt, I still had the cough, and about 5 people our age have developed *pneumonia* from similar symptoms.)

I've never read the book (too much hype about the book made me dig in my heels and refuse to read it :) but I did enjoy the movie. I still think it's ridiculous how *angry* some people are about it (the book was shelved in the *fiction* section people!), but I can, at least, see where they are coming from. The movie (and I assume book, too) blends real history that people like to ignore (like the Council of Nicea that more-or-less determined today's Bible), very cool spins on coincidences and symbols, and just unsubstantiated fancy.

As for the movie itself, it was worth the money I paid to see it. The acting was good and the plot kept me entertained. (I did see a few things coming, but I won't hold that against it.) All the hype aside, I recommend it.
