Controversial scientists

I'm currently reading a book called "Wilhelm Reich In Hell" by Robert Anton Wilson, and in the introduction he mentions some controversial scientists who, like Dr. Wilhelm Reich, had problems with the US government censoring their work and/or legal battles with the US. Sheldrake's webpage. He was friends with Terence McKenna and Ralph Abraham (one of the mathematicians who recognized the potential of chaos theory when it began). He also came up with the idea of the Morphogenetic Field - which is really hard to give a good, short definition of - check out the webpage.

He's still alive and lecturing, I believe. There's some excellent mp3's of talks he gave with McKenna and Abraham here, if you poke around a bit.
