No Broadcasting House on Radio 4 at 9 am. That’s fine, but The Archers omnibus early instead? Mrs P doesn’t mind the Archers, but can’t stand the music. I only like the music, so that went off.

La prose est certainement difficile, mais l'attention supplémentaire qu'elle exige des avantages de rendements de lecteur : la plus légère nuance dans les registres narratifs. Et, comme dans tout le James en retard, ces conseils et nuances subtiles sont de l'essence ( ... )

I did and rather liked it... though the portrayal of the Man Himself was less than favourable (imagine that Haryy Potter were Henry James's son).

Ddin't notice her, I must say. But then I have difficulty telling one actor or actress from another (though I did spot Jerry Orbach in Dirty Dancing the other week ( ... )

a nurse shouting hairy porter - what a caution

sherry is a good marinade - I use Croft Original (fantastic on steaks and fillet of lamb - good tenderising properties and its blonde enough to take on other seasonings like your paprika, savory, celery salt)

I agree about Billie Holiday's songbook but the fact that she's often making do with second rate material adds a certain charm (unlike a clapped-out, disinterested horn section)

Marc Ribot is all over that Mrs Percy Krauss alb so w/ a bit o' luck it won't be as flat out boring as her own discs w/ Union Station (and as you say, Gene Clark songs always help).

There's a 1941 version of 'I Cover the Waterfront' by BH that is very gd, Teddy Wilson on piano.
