So I like New Year's resolutions. It's a good annual opportunity to think about self-improvement. And you know, even if the initial burst of January effort fades and fails, I like to think a person ends up a little bit further ahead than they had been previously ( Read more... )

I love these resolutions, especially the fact that they're not vague or arbitrary. Especially with you on 2, 3, 4 & 5: I keep my laptop next to my bed and it chews up so much of my time, especially when I get home from work and need to get to sleep quickly. Pasta and rice used to be my defaults, but they're a non-entity in my pantry now: ditched them about 2 years ago and don't miss them at all! Refined sugars are much harder :p

If you intend to make a lot of leftovers don't use tupperware even though it is cheap. Get some Glasslock stuff. It's really good, super airtight, and easy to clean.
