I went to the Aquaterra practice today. It started slow. There were many youth combat people there, but I didn't have anyone in armor to work with for a half hour after the start of practice. I went to the Madrone practice tonight. It was good to be there. I started working with Sir Rauokinn on movement and range. It was fun since she is working on some difficult concepts. I then had a few fights with Sir Fiach. There were many other fighters and I wish I could have stayed much longer to practice with them.

I went to the Saturday Aquaterra practice today. There were a few fighters (about six) and I spent some time training and fighting. Sir Rauokinn was there, which was a treat. Several people were fighting with great weapons, so I got to work some on controlled approach and range control.

I was invited to go to a small practice over at Duke Skapti's. The other fighters there were Sir Loren, andras120, and Baron Styr. We had a great time. I really needed the practice.

Even though I was still sick, had been up at 2am with a sick son, and was very out of shape and practice, I really wanted to fight at Ursulmas this year. I'm glad I went ( Read more... )

I worked with several people and we spent some time working on movement and power.

I took my armor to 12th Night and enjoyed some good practice and training. Many of the people I talked to had questions about my footwork. I will probably spend more time in my teaching talking about foot work. Some of my foot work hesitates in transition and should not be copied as a good foot position to just stand in.
