i always came to you with secrets, you were-- a lot of times-- the only shoulder i could cry on. pat, you were one of my best and truest friends, even if we only knew each other for such a short time. you may be one of the most ambitious people i've known, one of the few who i was sure had places to go, but you were first and foremost one of the nicest, kindest, most understanding human beings i've ever known.
