Montreal subway

I forgot to mention the craziness of the Montreal subway system. I may have almost died on it, but probably not. I don't really know. I was getting on one of the trains, and it was incredibly crowded. I was being sort of pushed into the car by this wave of people behind me, when all of a sudden people started screaming and scrambling back out

in LA it is the honor code. you have to buy a ticket but you never know if someone will come check... but no one rides the subway in LA anyway.

I've actually taken the subway in L.A., but I hadn't remembered how the tickets worked. I mainly just remember being surprised that: a) L.A. had a subway; and b) I was able to get where I needed to go using it.

How long have you been in Texas? What's it like?

i have been here for a week and a half and it is hot. very hot, with humidity. it makes the valley look lovely.
otherwise i've been running around trying to make my apartment home and buliding furniture/putting things away...
austin is cool, though i haven't explored much since i got here. i was here for a few weeks in july and explored--much fun
