I sincerely hope that your chick lit (romance novel? what is this genre?), includes a story about a true charmer of a gentleman walking up to a poor unsuspecting girl at the library and saying with a straight face "I want to floss my molars with your clitoris".

Then, as she recoils in shock and horror, he walks away, never to be seen again.
