Things are so backwards right now. You'd think having the summer off would be a good thing right? WRONG!! It drives me nuts when people make comments about teaching being lucky because they have off over the summer. These people are dingbats. I love reading your pasionate postings. And I agree with you, I was having the same conversation with my boss and the principal of one of our school right around the time that Broward parents were bitching about school starting too early.

You would make a great superintendent but you're too revolutionary for the powers that be's taste, I just don't see you being able to kiss their asses like that, I don't want you to betray yourself.

Don't give up, at the very least your inspiration can promote change through the grassroots.... your students, most people underestimate their power, including themselves.
