1: the longest and shortest days of the year
2: the only time I've ever seen an entire church pour out the doors and into an all-day party afterwards
3: the only time I reliably see people older than my father dancing in the streets (admittedly to Jethro Tull's "Aqualung" album, they have a damn good excuse)
