I just saw an awesome martial arts movie with ry desmond and tim archer
it is called-

ong-bak thai warrior

the fighting style of the main hero is muay thai a form of kickboxing that is totally exquisit to watch. It's not as flashy as kung fu or other martial arts commonly used in cinema (hapkido, tae kwan do, karate, etc.) so they had to capitalize on some of the more flashy moves a bunch, but when the star just broke out into all out rumble you got to see smooth constant and realistic fighting. Best of all no wires no tricks and the star, martial arts up and comer Tony Jaa, did all of his own stunts. He vaulted, hurtled, fought and ran like an invincible warrior, it was truly badass. I thought some camera work could have been better and the movie was really low budget, but the budget was spent well on the big chase scene and the end fight, allowing pure martial arts to do the talking for the rest of the movie. The plot was ho hum and the hated subtitles underscored that thai is a hard language for my celt/anglo ears to digest but all in all the director had heart and showed it. The fighting and choreography put a bunch of much higher budgeted Jet Li films to shame, considering how hard it is to showcase a blocky style like Muay Thai. All in all a good martial arts film for fighting fans.

thats my pitch for that followed by this much quicker synopsis.

Here is a much quicker review
