Yawning slowly Zhou Mi reached to switch off his beeping alarm. A quick glance told him it was 7:55am, five minutes before the highlight of his day would be on.

The sun streamed in through a sliver of the curtains making him blink sluggishly at the bright light. Switching on the radio he lazily nestled into the bed comfortably, one minute down, four more and he’d be able to start the day properly. He listened half-heartedly at the person speaking when his face turned into a bright grin when the time read 8:00am.

“That’s the news for you today! I’d like to bring you your favourite part of the morning, Cho Kyuhyun!”

Zhou Mi sighed blissfully at the name. How right the man was.

“Thank you. Good morning to everyone listening to 74fm. Even though I tell you not to send them in you still do, so as usual we have to start with the birthday wishes. ”

Despite the annoyed tone it did nothing to dampen the expressive voice. Zhou Mi sighed in bliss, his body automatically relaxing in a haze of pleasure. The man’s voice was beautiful and wonderful and he could probably spend forever listening to it. It had an effect on him. Something that he had made him mortified the first time he realised that just the listening to the dulcet tones reading out birthday wishes were enough to get him aroused.

Zhou Mi had discovered the radio station by pure chance a few months ago, he’d been struggling to wake up one morning and had accidently switched on the radio in his haste to stop the beeping of his alarm. It was the first time he’d heard Kyuhyun’s voice and it was not the last.

The first time he heard Kyuhyun, the other man had been singing happy birthday as a listener had requested. He had been mortified to find himself completely lost to that delightful voice, his body reacting. He’d lain in bed even after Kyuhyun’s segment had been over; desperately trying to ignore the hard-on he’d been sporting.

Yet despite the mortification Zhou Mi found himself listening in again the next morning, and the morning after, and the next, until it became a ritual of sorts for him and after a serious mental debate he had decided it was far more beneficial listening to that voice rather than being irritable and distracted when he didn’t. So he succumbed to the way that voice made him feel.

He couldn’t deny that it was a wonderful way to start the day.

--

“God I wish I could be as happy as you are in the morning! How do you do it Seasoning?”

Zhou Mi turned at the annoyed drawl next to him, Heechul worked in the same office block he did and was predictably cranky in the morning. Zhou Mi could find his smile brightening at the mention of his morning, the honeyed tone still echoing in his mind.

“I just…listen to the radio…” Heechul shot him a sceptical look. “Yah, you want me to believe that it’s the radio that makes you so cheerful?”

“Yes…It’s the-“

“Seasoning, if you’re feeling that lonely that your radio is bringing you happiness than I will gladly find a man for you! Are you into big ones? Or maybe the shy ones who are really kinky-mmf-“

He quickly slapped a hand onto Heechul’s blabbering mouth, his face flushing a bright red and mortification ran through him. “Heechul! Don’t say stuff like that in public!” Zhou Mi glanced nervously around; even when his hand got pushed away his face was till a deep red.

“Pfft. So this radio channel, what is it?”

“Um…74Fm.” Today was just a never ending day of mortification. As soon as he had said that most of the people milling about seemed to be staring at him. Even Heechul was gaping. Yes, despite the wonderful voice of Kyuhyun, or Kui Xian as Zhou Mi liked to call him in his head, it was the infamous country station that no one ever admitted to listening to.

“OH GOD. Just wait until I tell everyone this!” With a mad cackle the feminine man ran off leaving Zhou Mi shuffling self-consciously towards his cubicle.

As he sat down his normally cheerful smile not on his face, Heechul’s words from before had affected him more than he wanted to admit. Not the embarrassingly loud descriptions of guys but the fact that he was lonely. Of course the thought had crossed his mind to seek out Kui Xian but a search on the site had shown nothing but the man’s name let alone contact details.

Not that he was brave enough to phone the man he had been listening to religiously every morning; after all what would he say?

‘Hi, I’ve been listening to you every morning and your voice really affects me if you know what I mean. So I was wondering you’d like to get a coffee with me?’

God, just thinking about it was making his face burn again. Zhou Mi shook his head violently, determined to just ignore the pang of loneliness at the thought of never having someone to dote on or -

“Everyone Seasoning needs a boyfriend! Does anyone know somebody who would be interested in his skinny ass?”

With a groan Zhou Mi buried his head in his arms.

--

Things might have continued like this for Zhou Mi. His mornings with the seductively smooth voice on the radio interspersed with Heechul telling everyone he was desperate for a man in his life.

That is until his radio broke one day.

It was a dull morning; the sun was shining and birds were flying, nothing to indicate the impending doom of one his most beloved possession, next to his Gucci bags and Marc Jacob jackets.

He woke up as normal hand reaching to stop the beeping of his alarm. He gave a slow yawn and turned on his radio.

His watch told him it was 7:56am, four minutes until the best part of his day.

Silence.

He glanced at the radio, then a second glance and a third. Until his brain registered that it was not going to make any noise in the foreseeable future. Shaking the box confirmed that the radio was dead and no amount of shaking, or hitting, was going to make it work.

That was just the start of his morning. Zhou Mi then proceeded to spill coffee on his new Armani shirt, lost his car keys, missed the bus and had to catch the taxi instead, was consequently late to work and had been given a lecture by his boss.

Thank fully his day at work passed by in an uneventful blur; even Heechul had stopped teasing him for today. No doubt scared after Zhou Mi had snapped at him.  God, he sounded like some weird addict but who could blame him for being snappy, he’d had a bad beginning and all because he hadn’t heard the enthralling tones of his Kui Xian all day.

How was he going to get through today?

“Zhou Mi! I want you to finish these reports.”

Just as he was about to explain that no he was not going to finish anybody’s paperwork but his own today, the words caught in his throat as he saw his boss loom over him. “O-of course Sir…” The man grinned at him before moving away. As soon as Zhou Mi was sure the other man was out of earshot he collapsed into his arms.

“Damn it!” With annoyance coursing through him, he resisted stabbing something with his pen. Why was today such a bad day?

All because his stupid radio had broken.

He had to go buy a new radio immediately after work. Right after he sorted out all the paperwork his boss had just dumped on him.

--

The mall was a bustling mess and did nothing to alleviate the headache forming in his head. Zhou Mi wondered about, looking for the nearest electronic store. He had finished the extra work and ran the moment he could.

His gaze soon landed on one and just a few more steps so his mornings would once again be a peaceful thing. Except of course he just had to collide into someone in his rush.

Zhou Mi hated today.

“Sorry! I really didn’t mean to crash into you, I was in a rush and today has just been awful-“

“It’s okay.”

That smooth melodic voice. Zhou Mi found himself gaping at the attractive man that was sprawled on the ground. He knew he was looking like an idiot but really now, the voice was unmistakable.

“…Y-you’re…”

The handsome man had to be Cho Kyuhyun. Zhou Mi would bet his entire winter collection on this. Kyuhyun stood, dusting himself off before his smouldering gaze turned to him and Zhou Mi may have swooned just that tiniest bit inside.

“Are you okay?” Zhou Mi could only mutely nod, his mind overloading at being this close to the owner of that voice. Kyuhyun was looking increasingly apprehensive at the frozen state of Zhou Mi and was slowly edging away. God he was just as dazzling as his voice although he could probably wear less baggy shirts, something that emphasised his toned arms and-

“I’m going to go now then…”

Zhou Mi stood there mouth still gaping, his eyes following the rapidly disappearing figure.

“…Kui Xian…”

His murmured the secret nickname, a blush rapidly appearing as he realised just what exactly had happened.

“Wait! Ah- Kui Xian!”

Stumbling Zhou Mi rushed in the same direction as his idol.

--

Zhou Mi gave a sigh.

After the embarrassing collision he had chased after Kyuhyun, his long legs finally coming into use. He had caught up, although he had been embarrassingly out of breath at that point, only to find Kyuhyun hugging a girl.

That had made him stumble over a tastefully placed potted plant.

Zhou Mi would have left then if he hadn’t suddenly found himself entranced by Kyuhyun’s husky laughter. His heart had thudded like crazy after that and instead of leaving, like a sane person; he had chosen to stalk- follow the other.

A quick look at his watch told him he’d been following for around forty minutes. Not that they’d gone to many places. They had wondered the mall for a bit before exiting and were currently sitting in the park. Zhou Mi behind a bush nearby. Really he was more surprised they hadn’t noticed him, especially when they had bumped into the dog. It had almost blown his cover by barking.

Zhou Mi glanced back at the bench, sighing once more at the familiar way the two were acting. The girl was laughing a hand pushing at something Kui Xian had said, and God that voice still affected him far more than it should, whilst Kui Xian looked more and more captivating every time Zhou Mi set his eyes on him.

“God, you eat way too much sometimes. You’ll get fat Kyu~”

Ah, yes the small snippets of conversations that he could just hear when he tried.

Zhou Mi glowered at the grass by his feet, what an unimaginative nickname (although using the Chinese version of Kyuhyun wasn’t much more creative either). Back to the point though, Kui Xian could eat as much as he liked, his body was perfect. Zhou Mi could bet the other girl probably couldn’t even cook. He could, maybe he should bake cookies next time he saw Kui Xian…

What next time? The other didn’t know of his existence.

Sliding down to sit on the grass, his back turned to them. Of course, Cho Kyuhyun already had a girlfriend. Then again what had he been expecting? The man had the most sensuous voice and was tantalizingly gorgeous to boot; he’d been unable to keep his gaze of the lithe figure, especially with the way those jeans fit him, and warm brown eyes that had stared at him earlier when they had collided.

Zhou Mi let out another long sigh at his thoughts. “I should just go home…”

“You really should.”

He jumped at the voice, face flushing as he looked up. A devilish smirk and amused brown eyes stared back at him.

“I-it’s not what it looks like!”

“You haven’t been stalking us?” Zhou Mi could feel the shame wash over him. Could the ground swallow him up now? Still slumped awkwardly behind the bush he slowly stood.

“I-it’s just I’m a huge, um, fan of you…” Kui Xian seemed shocked at that. “A fan? You listen to my radio station?” Zhou Mi nodded, his gaze shifting nervously around. He couldn’t tell whether he wanted to die of embarrassment or happiness at having a conversation with Kui Xian.

"Y-yes! I just work at the company over there, my name is Zhou Mi and-"

“So, Zhou Mi, You were hiding behind a bush eavesdropping on my sister and I because you’re a crazy fan?” Oh God. That god-like voice had just said his name. Zhou Mi could only look somewhat dazed before an impatient glare forced him to answer.

“Ye-no? Wait, your sister?!”

“Yeah, but that’s not-“

“Ah! Is this the weirdo that’s been following us? He looks cute! You should ask him on a date Kyu~”

“Ara!”

Ara, his sister his mind crowed happily, smiled cheerfully at him. Zhou Mi felt slightly dazed, a mixture of being this close to Kui Xian and feeling absolutely mortified at being caught.

“He’s perfect though! Look how long his legs are, weren’t you just telling me about that cute guy you saw earlier with long- Wait, is this the guy you were gushing about bumping into earlier?”

Zhou Mi could feel a grin on his lips at the flushing man in front, the smirk replaced with an adorable scowl. How could one man be so adorable as well?

“Wipe that grin of your lips, Zhou Mi! I was not gushing Ara, I’m going to…I’m going home!” Pouting childishly Kyuhyun stomped off. They both stared as he left.

Ara suddenly whipped back to face him, a pen and paper in her hand he blinked dazedly, when had she gotten those? “Don’t worry about him, he’s just embarrassed! Here, take him to dinner.” She shoved the paper in his pocket and with a wink Ara left him standing. His face entirely too warm and heart thudding in anticipation.

His fingers wrapped around the piece of paper in his pocket, Zhou Mi’s grin widened, the number that Ara had slipped into his pocket suddenly made this day feel so much better.

--

Two months later-

“Good morning everyone, I’m Cho Kyuhyun. Just for today I’m going to give you a special report.”

Zhou Mi could feel his body flush with pleasure, his cock reacting to the smooth voice. When had he turned on his radio?

“It seems we have a rising situation at hand that could soon become very hard to handle.”

Something was different about this broadcast.

“Yes, a very hard situation.” In fact that velvety voice sounded like it was practically right next to him.

Right next to him…

Opening his eyes Zhou Mi found a very amused, very naked, Kyuhyun hovering above him.

“I didn’t think you were serious when you said my voice had such an effect on you…”

Blushing to the tips of his toes Zhou Mi averted his gaze. Trying and failing to calm his growing reaction below. “Ah- it…well- um…”

Zhou Mi could see the other’s sinful smirk as Kyuhyun practically purred his next sentence. “I never said I minded.”

And before he could reply his mind was rendered an incoherent mess as soft lips met his.
