The power of words

Jul 16, 2011 08:58

Here's a ficlet to Labirynth, or to be more precise, its Girls Next Door version. I simply love how the characters and their relationships are developed in this comic. If you're looking for a laugh, go and read it right now! It will only take you a couple of hours and it's totally worth that.
As for this text, it didn't turn out quite the way I've ( Read more... )

This. Is probably the first het fanfiction I've read... Ever. And it's pretty amazing; the folks are in character and the... Oh, heck, the word play is gorgeous. Well done, girl~

Your first het, seriously? Combo breaker! :D Seriously though, may I feel honoured?
From my limited fanfiction experience, het pairings are usually boring; too melodramatic and predictable (the only good hets I've found so far are for Tangled, they're too cute to be ruined). I'm so glad you like this one! And don't you worry for a "culture shock", I have a slash next up on the list :3

Yup, you can (even for Pride and Prejudice I searched for Darcy/Bingley XDDDD).

What you said; also, we get enough het from 'official' fiction (and I still need to read those Tangled fics you linked me to). And yay for slash! |D

*beams* I absolutely love how you wrote about them playing the game! Scrabble! Oh, so many things (and such hilarity!) can happen while you're playing scrabble! *giggles*

I really liked how you wrote the dialogue in here- it just easily flows as they're playing. A very realistic effect. And the Goblin King's last sentence had me laughing in histerics, for some reason.

You, my dear *prods you* should write more in that verse. I enjoy a good het fic, and this is definitely well done. You have a way with words- nothing seems forced or overdone in here.

Thank you sooo much! :D *radiates with joy* Yeah, Scrabble is truly an amazing device.

It's nice to hear that about the dialogue. Originally, they were supposed to do much more of that word-fencing thing, so I was not entirely pleased with the final outcome; but if you like it, I'm glad.

More in that verse? Last time, you were persuading me to write more slash! I guess I should just write more in general ;p

Thanks once more for appreciation! *huggles*

Yeah, dialogue is extremely hard to get right- sometimes you "hear" entire conversations between your characters in your head, and it sounds epic, and then when you sit down to write it down, most of it just slips past you... *sighs*
But you did good :)

I guess I should just write more in general ;p

That's the idea, yes :) *cheeky smile*

And sorry for not replying sooner, LJ was being a right bastard.
