Help Me Pay for Nursing School?

Hey! I'm going to nursing school, but I can't get federal financial aid for spring and summer quarter due to last year's income (which doesn't help with this year). I do have a small grant coming my way that will cover half of this quarter's schooling, but that still leaves $800 to pay

:) I think it's perfectly acceptable to post. I am living off students loans at the moment, so I can't help with monies, but you may want to talk to your finanical aid counselor and let them know there's been a change in your income level since last year. When I left Pravat, I was able file an amendment to my FASFA...so maybe there's something for job loss?

Thank you. <3 I have talked with the financial aid office: they only allow students to file one "change in status" amendment (the paperwork to tell the school I don't have a job anymore/they shouldn't use the income information off of my tax return) in their entire tenure. I'm going to use it for the 2013-2014 school year instead of the 2012-2013 school year (in which I will only be taking two quarters of classes).

Ugh, the financial aid process is so convoluted. I'm not looking forward to that part of the next three years.
