on tuesday night, i saw cobra starship! they're always so much fun, and this was no exception. the venue was insanely tiny, which was awesome. i have no opinion on the opening bands, but i wasn't really paying attention. anyway, cobras were very fun and entertaining and attractive.

this seems really short, but i can't think of anything else they played. it's hard to keep it straight with the other times i've seen them. whatever, they played for at least an hour and a half. after the city is at war, gabe stopped and said he'd accidentally skipped the world has its shine, and he asked the rest of the band if they wanted to play it, and that he wrote it for victoria, ha. victoria said no, and ryland started messing with her, putting on this funny voice all "nooo, i don't want to play that boring slow song" and stuff like that, haha. then somehow farting got brought up, and victoria said that for the history of being in the band, ryland has been trying to get her to fart in front of him, but girls don't fart! then ryland said if she farted in front of him he'd propose, because that's how you know you've found the one - if they fart in front of you, haha. idek, it was really funny. oh, and gabe and victoria did the salsa, i think during paparazzi.
victoria did part of the dance from the guilty pleasure video at the beginning of the song, so of course we did that during the song. and gabe made us put our fangs up various times, which made me feel ridiculous but i did it anyway. haha, it's fun! and gabe pulled a bunch of people on stage for the end of guilty pleasure, which was pretty cool.

i didn't realize the flash was off until after the show, when gabe pointed it out to me. plus the battery was in the red, so i didn't want to mess with it and make it die.
after the show, i went to the bathroom and when i came back, gabe was hanging out in front of the stage. i actually got right next to him pretty quickly, but i waited and let other people who'd been waiting longer go ahead of me. gabe asked this one girl if she knew the band dctalk (um, i can't remember why) and i was like, yeah! (they're one of the few christian bands i legitimately like). i think i was the only one. then he said he'd met the manager of the lead singer on the plane. it was so random. then he asked us if we were offended by his cursing, and we were just like no, it's not a big deal. oh! and some girl asked him to sign her boobs, and gabe starting singing "don't ask me to sign your skin. can't you see these little kids?" ahahaha.
then it was my turn! i'd never met gabe before. i know he can be an asshole, but he's also very charming and personable. and funny! he asked everyone their name and introduced himself to us, and he made ridiculous faces for the pics and was telling about how he was covered in sweat. (it was true; it was dripping off the brim of his hat when he had his head down to sign this girl's shoe.) anyway, i got two pictures with him!

so anyway, that was my fun time, and i ♥ cobra starship.
i'm going out of town tomorrow to visit my sister in kansas, so i won't be around till sunday/monday. have a nice weekend!
