Race Report: Luck of the EMUs 5K.

I'm going to keep this one short (like a 5K). Luck of the EMUs is a small race put on by the Eastern Michigan University Running Club. It's run exclusively on sidewalks around the EMU campus. It's sort of like a cross country race (the course wouldn't know a straight line if you gave it a compass and a map), except without the grass. For the

Nice Race! And a great time for no real competition or bonus psychological push for beating the rabbits during the second half... I'm really curious to see how your half goes!

Martian is in a couple of weeks, but I have to remind myself to think of it as a tempo run, not as a race.

Running a race as a tempo run? Why? Is this a part of your training plan, or a different decision? Just curious...

It's part of my training plan- it originally was supposed to be a 16 mile run with 12 at LT, but I modified it a bit. And I got a complimentary entry, so it seemed a good idea at the time...
