I've been hurt, but not severely. Today while filming a sword-fight with Basil Rathbone, he put a nick into my arm. I didn't notice until the script girl screamed when she saw some blood. Don't worry, it was only a minor cut. The studio medics patched me up and I was off to film again. It will take a lot more than a cut to keep old Errol down ( Read more... )

Another drab day at the studio. My sometimes the content of the scripts is purely mind-boggling. I can't believe the liberties most take with history. But who am I to complain? I'm given a script and told to show up on a certain date to film. Maybe one day I shall think about writing a film script, you never know stranger things have happened..

John just called me up. He wants to me and the boys to go to the Trocadero right now. I had to say, "Wait a minute, Jack. It's still too early yet. We don't want to drink the place dry before 9."
