Oh no... I get it..

Can there be any doubt where wars come
from and where peace comes from, when the children of this world,
excluding God from their peace conferences,
only manage to bring about greater and
greater wars the more they talk about peace?I don't think religion causes wars, per se, that's kind of silly to say that isn't it? Because the fact is usually land disputes, monetary gain, and politicing start wars. But more than anything religion is used as a catalyst for war and it's disgusting. People are so tangled up with it that they let it be used against them in all aspect of their lives. Religion acts as hands covering their eyes and ears to the actual truth of what is happening in the world around them. It's sad. So do you blame religion or do you blame religious people? I'd say they both share the blame... especially with what took place with the Bush administration and Iraq ( ... )

i think you're missing it.
merton was saying that the causes of war is the evil without our own souls. dont push blame on anyone or anything. put the blame on YOURSELF. no one is perfect. and no one makes perfect decisions.

live and learn.
