yah, of course it's both. the commenters are ridiculous but every now and again someone will correctly point out the racism, and someone else will rejoin with "it's more like classism, really; you could call it 'stuff liberal people like.'"

in any case, at least every fifth one I catch myself wincing in self-recognition. and then snickering.
