- For a while there, whenever I tried to load livejournal I'd just get a blank page with a random icon on it instead of the LJ main page. The icon wasn't even one of mine! Did anyone else get that ( Read more... )

SO WEIRD. Something had better not happen to LJ. D: It's the only reliable journaling site out there.

srsly. D: I'm wondering if someone hacked it. Because I did check the status page and it hasn't been updated to address these issues.

Also... I'm trying to revive an RP my friend had but handed over to me. It'll be multi-fandom... kinda they get pulled into an alternate version of the US and will live in cities like Dallas, Chicago, etc. Their skills will be intact and all, and PBs are optional (really, the only characters that would need to worry about it are book characters that haven't been given a graphical representation, secondary characters in pre-existing fandoms, and OCs... which will be allowed, but in ration; we're going to be pretty strict on OCs, even though we're allowing them... especially because the first incarnation had too many OCs, imo). Only reason we're allowing OCs -- from both pre-existing fandoms and original universes -- is because we've got this idea that the world that's pulling them in needs to repopulate, and isn't picky about who it's taking.

We were also talking about doing something where characters lose something upon entering, sort of like paradisa did, but a bit stricter on what those things can be. Not sure yet, though ( ... )

Sounds cool! Definitely keep me up to date if you get her up and running. I usually steer clear from multi-fandom, but you've got to try everything at least once, right?

I think the most important thing for computer's is RAM. The more you have, the faster your computer opens and runs applications, and then less it slows down. I have 1GB now, and that's okay, but it still runs WoW pretty slow? I got 4GBs coming on my new one. It's expensive but worth it.

Also? A good graphics card. You could ask a techie what they suggest, but if you're playing computer games, you want something that won't lag the graphics, so you can run it nicely.

That being said, find a Final Fantasy RP and me and Koko will join it.

Awesome, thanks for the tips!

and \o/ I miss playing with you guys. It's really hard to find ffrp these days, though! Even on the boards I look at that are supposed to have square enix-specific ads, everything seems to be multi-fandom. Much sadness D:

It's so hard to find a good FFRP. Everything always seems to be set in high school or weird multi-fandom stuff. Which...is weird. And I don't think I could mentally handle a game that was all Roxas' and Sora's sucking Axel's dick. Srsly.

;_; Square, why does your role-playing fanbase suck so hard?

Augh. Highschool rp. The bane of my existence! FFRP is kind of hard, because there's either too much plot or not enough. Those characters kind of need a fantastical setting to be fun, but when game-like plots of epic, world-saving proportions enter the equation, things get too complicated for silly character interaction. I'd think about just starting a new one but ... where is that perfect balance, y'know?
