The Great Southwest Road Trip - Dallas to Amarillo

I have just finished a multi-day, 3500 mile road trip that took me from Dallas to the Grand Canyon, down through Arizona and to southern NM, then the Davis Mountains in the Trans-Pecos region of Texas, San Antonio and home. The only drive more boring than Dallas to Amarillo is Houston to El Paso:) Your photos are extraordinary! I was a junior in college when I performed in "Texas". I was invited to a reunion this year, but it did not work out to attend it. Who is Michael's father? I was there in the early years:)

I am not sure what Michael's father's first name was, but his last name was Raillard. He passed about 15 years ago. Michael grew up in Canyon and spent a great deal of his childhood in the park due to his dad's involvement with the show.

I once drove from Canton (east of Dallas) to El Paso in one day.
THAT was boring! Dairy Queen blizzards broke the monotony!
