So, I'm in Bellingham, due in no small part to the heroic efforts of Daniel the amazing packing monster and the mindbending effects of bottled yerba mate.  The drive went startlingly well, especially compared to the LAST Alcan attempt, much less hitchhiking this time, which was a good thing.  My new car is lovely and amazing, and for those of you ( Read more... )

Not moving, moved! Haha! It just hit me yesterday as I was packing boxes into my new house with the help of my new roommates that I MOVED TO FUCKING CANADA! (eh?) I'd love to get together. I'll probably be down in the area of SeaWA on the weekend of the 11th, shall I call thee? Or you are more than welcome to jaunt up to loverly New West, I promise I won't let the meth fiends get you. ;)

Awesome!! Definitely, gimme a call - two owe sicks, sicks five owe, seven two fore sicks. Also, we have a nifty house with couches, should you ever need a place to crash in Seattle.

Yeah, it was pretty cool. I was in northern BC, up in the mountains above treeline, and was watching the stars (I could even see the milky way really well). As I drove, this vertical red streak started to materialize, and I thought it was the northern lights, and was all excited, but it never got past the vertical streak stage. The weird part was there was a really bright dot in the center, which really made it look like a glowing red interdimensional gateway.
