It’s kind of awkward to make this like a ‘first post’ since I haven’t updated my journal so long ago, but I guess I’ve got to do it some time! ^_^ Ah, onto the entry?
Ah, what’s new… I just got an e-mail yesterday from Waseda that I made it for the last round of applications for the Japanese Language Summer Program (lasting 4 weeks) so it looks like I’ll be spending my birthday at Japan this summer after all! I’m very much excited…until I remember…I haven’t studied Japanese formally for like 5 years. But I’ve expected this, so I guess I’ll be spending part of the first half of my summer cramming brushing up before I go. ^^ I’m hoping to get into the upper-intermediate level because I really want to practice the speaking part rather than book grammar (that I can study on my own). But if not, the experience itself should be good so it shouldn’t be a complete waste of time/money. =D I foresee myself going very broke though - I guess I've got to start saving up! ^_^
XD In case you’re wondering how the maki-maki factors into this, I was having a conversation with queenofbatpig who jokingly suggested that I maki-maki my competitors. …A couple of hours afterwards, the mail arrived. Potent stuff, Shiho’s voodoo is.
As you see, I’ve “downup”graded my account to the ad-support one to use the features of the paid account. So if the ads annoy you, you have my apologies - I’ll be moving to the paid account soon! >< I’ve also got 1 week left of school before finals week rolls around so if I’m missing, you’ll know why (not that it makes a difference). XD;; But I’ll check in to reply whenever I can! =D Take care.
