Things were really rolling now. Waiting for the crowd to settle back down, Ensign Nylen couldn't help the double-take he gave when he saw the next person waiting to come out onstage. Emceeing was a blast, but he suddenly wished he could place a bid of his own.

"Let's hear it for the Engineering department, huh? Our next entrant is the lovely Lt. Tovik!" He grinned appreciatively as she emerged from the wings.

She wasn't usually stage-shy, but Nora couldn't help swallowing nervously as she went out onstage. She adjusted her witch hat with one hand, her smile rather hesitant at first - but this was all in good fun, she knew. It was definitely fun to wear a skirt for once.

He thought the hat was cute, and there was something...tantalizing about her hesitation. "Two hundred!" he started it off, and nibbled on a pumpkin-shaped cookie.

Bones' eyebrow went up. "Three hundred," he said, wondering what on earth Sybok wanted with the young lieutenant.

Karl strolled out still nudging his gold olive-leaf crown into place, entirely at ease with all the eyes on him. He had, after all, done more than a few conventions, and been on stage in a lot less than the toga he was currently sporting (he'd been amused to find an almost-identical version of his old Xena costume in the replicator database, right down to the sandals).

He adjusted the drape of excess fabric over one arm, tipped his chin haughtily up and adopted a suitably regal posture, slipping back into Julius Caesar easier than he'd thought he would.

None of the three of them had shared what their costumes would be. Chris supposed it was more fun that way, and he grinned and raised his glass in a toast when Karl walked out.

"Three hundred!" he called out, figuring he still needed to make up for running Karl ragged when he'd been a cat.

Whoa. Nora felt her jaw drop, just a little, when Karl walked out onstage. The toga did things to him that she hadn't thought were possible. "Three hundred fifty," she countered. It was a lot, but she had a good deal saved up for occasions like this.

Jo had gone for a pirate this year, billowy yet clingy shirt undone for the first couple buttons, shorter than regulation skirt, thigh high boots, a bit of chunky jewelry, and her hair done in twin tails. Slutty but sweet. She wondered if anyone would bid on her. She had a play sword, and a real dagger as well, in her belt.

Geoff M'Benga hadn't won earlier, but seeing Joanna up there, he was pretty happy he had that extra money left. "Four hundred," he called out early, seeing who else was going to go for her.

Chris gave an appreciative whistle. His friend looked good tonight, and he hoped she was having fun. He glanced over at M'Benga, wondering how serious he was about winning her. "Five hundred!" he called out, winking at Jo.

The evening was in full swing now, and judging by the running tally Ensign Nylen was keeping on his PADD, the recreation department was doing very, very well. He sipped some water before stepping back up to the podium, the crowd already anticipating the next entrant.

"Okay, everyone," he began, jumping in during a lull in the noise. "Next up, let's hear it for Captain Kirk!"

Jim purposefully waited towards the end to present himself. He checked his collar one last time, then stepped out. It was a clean, pressed, handsome tuxedo on him, striking and sharp compared to his normal dress even in his uniform.

"Four hundred!" Jo bid. She probably wouldn't win, but why not try?

Bones was completely out of money, but that didn't stop him from noticing how hot his man was. Putting two fingers up to his mouth, he let out a wolf-whistle from the back of the room.
