The smell of salt water and the quiet rush of the waves were a soothing constant in the background. Chris strolled down the boardwalk, restless, searching for something he couldn’t quite put his finger on. Awake early for no good reason, he had slipped out of bed and dressed quietly, padding barefoot out the door with his shoes in hand

"Hey," he nodded, looking down at the multiple cups of coffee Chris was carrying. "Thirsty much?" he asked, grinning.

He glanced down at the bags Bones was carrying. "Looks like you've been busy this morning. Christmas shopping?"

It was beautiful here in the mornings. "How are you guys doing?" he asked, realizing that this was probably even more strange for the actors. "You guys know anything about this place from the movie or show?"

There were a surprising lot of people already in bathing suits with drinks in hand. Karl looked hopefully around for a replicator -- he'd never get tired of ordering things from those -- or sudden convenient tray of muffins, and instead spotted Chris across the room. Several near collisions with giant fruity cocktails and one or two definite arse-gropes later (friendly planet!) and Karl could smell the coffees Chris was holding. Glorious coffee.
"Morning," he said, attempting a winning smile but managing a yawn. "Think I could con you out of one of those?"

It was a little surprising, therefore, when he caught sight of Karl stumbling toward him. Chris handed over one of the cups with a grin. "It's yours. There's danishes and other pastries I couldn't quite identify in the bag, but I was assured they're all quite safe for human consumption."
He grinned at Karl's pre-caffeine haze. "I was on my way up, thought I'd bring these to you and Zach. The coffee's amazing."

"How about you?" It was so beautiful outside, he was itching to get out and explore some of the activities going on. And it was easier to keep busy and not brood outdoors, too. "I was looking over a listing yesterday. There's rock climbing and horseback riding, all kinds of things. Or the beach."
