If Mina were to go to her front door she would find just outside a simple ceder trunk.

Oh, but Mina's absolutely astonished and delighted when her assistant, Thomas, brings in the trunk. The smell of the cedar is the first thing that greets her -- and she does love that scent. He presses the note into her hands and she's impressed at the effort gone to type in braille and smiles broadly at the invitation.

With Thomas describing the colour and the details she can't see, Mina runs her hands over the fabric of the coat, the soft lining, the lovely embroidery.

She takes out her mobile telephone and calls his contact number. "Hello, Rupert."

The shop is empty when his mobile rings, and he's almost annoyed at the sound ruining his silence until he hears the voice at the other end of the call.

"Mina," he says as he sets down the book he had been reading. "I hope this means my delivery arrived safely?"

"It did, and it's absolutely lovely. You shouldn't have," she demurs, but she's very glad that he did. "Thank you."

"Of course I should have. What's the point of birthdays if not to remind people of what they mean to us?" And she's coming to mean quite a bit to him. There are few who understand him so well, and even fewer that he can let his guard down around.

"And you're welcome." He's please that she sounds so delighted with the gift. He's not very experienced in picking out presents, particularly not for a woman who has so much already. "Did you get the card as well?"
