Are those three escalators? I'm confused! the one in the middle goes up or down??

The one in the middle is a special one. It goes up if you get on at the bottom, but down if you get on at the top. This is why it's important to only have one person use it at a time :-)

In the mornings it goes down, in the evenings it goes up. It is a magic escalator.
