Speed III - Cruise Control

Jan 14, 2006 22:32

This is Lionel. He works for the Sekrit Service. This is a report of his latest mission, dated 1st January 2006.

The ship was vast. This would be great vacation, thought Lionel.

Taking a tour of the ship, he admired the 13 decks, and marveled at how it could float.

Making his way to the Captain's bridge, Lionel felt something was amiss. The door was ajar, and upon entering the bridge, he was greeted with a blinking LED display.

They were floating in the middle of the ocean, and the captain was nowhere in sight. Attached was a ransom note. This was proving to be more business than leisure. But with no help at hand, Lionel decided to solve this mystery.

Wrestling with the controls of the ship, he brought it to the closest port - of James Bond Island (this, by the way, is an actual island off Phuket).

As he was about to drop anchor, Lionel's plans were thwarted. A group of highly-trained marauders raided the ship.

They scoured the area, and soon Lionel was cornered.

"Crud. I can't jump! This clearly says 'hand-wash with warm water only'." With great determination to save his clothes, Lionel picked up an unwieldy, forked weapon.

This was his darkest hour. "Back, back! Or I shall be forced to use this thingum!" The marauders hesitated, and seizing this opportunity, Lionel ran toward the front of the ship.

Climbing the mast, Lionel shouted "So long, suckers!". And jumped. Into the waiting escape boat.

He finally arrived at James Bond Island.

"I need a disguise!" Lionel looked around, and there it was - the perfect shop to get a disguise.

It might cost an arm and a leg, but it was well worth it.

Perfect! The very section he was looking for.

Strapping on his running shoes, Lionel made for the kidnapper's hideout.

As he neared, he spotted a four-wheel drive, and proceeded to cross the treacherous jungle on it.

The final challenge: A Chess Game.

This was a very well-protected hideout. But still, it could not hold out for long. The captain was alive and well, and promtly brought back to the ship.
"Thank you for your help" said the captain.

"It was a breeze."
Lionel went up to the deck, took in the scenery...

And sailed off toward the horizon.
