So you see another layout! I know I'm bad, but I made the wall from the picspam about Cupid&Psyche, and I wanted to use it! I have even change the profile header, with Perseus&Io from Clash of the Titans. Ok about these two, I'm a little bit confused, cause I got a crush on the story about Perseus&Andromeda...and Alexa Davalos is sooo beautiful! So ( Read more... )

Well In italy we study some greek mythology...but I wasn't interested so much, maybe because I was too young and I was obliged to study...I regret that! As you said, the greek mythology is really interesting!

Omg, what a coinsidence! I'm just drawing a dojin about my all-time favourite myth in myth: cupid&psyche :)
I can't believe, I just started this morning drawing it...
Thank you for this beautiful pictures, though I imagine Psyche way different and more younger, like 15 or 16.
I don't use speech-blubbles, becaus I wanted it to be like a quite movie. But I must call him Eros or Cupid and I can't decide. Whyt do you think? :/

I have another question: Where do you got the quotes from? I read an example from the ancient, but I don't think it's the original(it was 82 pages long I think).

The quotes are from the tale written by Lucius Apuleius, well in italy we study latin literature and that's why I know and read it. You should find the english translation!

Awww you made a draw? I'd love to see it! I'm so in love with Cupid&Psyche...

To be honest I don't like Cupid nor Eros, in italy he's called "Amore" which means "Love" and trust me, it sounds better...but I think if I have to decide between Cupid and Eros, I'll go for Cupid.

I would love to put it on my live journal. But it's risky, because everone has their own vision of them and there are many visions of the story and I pick my favourite one(which is different from Apuleius). I just hope mine is going to be okay for you^^
Btw: I love the ones you picked for Cupid and Voluptas!

I'm with 1/3 of the dojin through. It'll have 30 pages I think.

What a beautiful cast!
I love Psyche & Cupid and Persephone & Hades, and they've inspired so many great sculptures and paintings. :D

Also, even though I don't like Clash of Titans, Liam Neeson as Zeus is perfect.

May I ask who would you cast as Hades?

what a gorgeous picspam!
Here we learn greek and roman mythology when we're little and I had a great teacher that was so passionate about that, she would tell us the stories as if she'd lived them lol, I loved that.. my favorites tales are Orphée and Eurydice, and of course Ulysse..
I like your choice of Anne Hathaway, BDHoward and also Jared Leto.. and even though I don't know Caroline Dhavernas either, I agree she'd make a beautiful Psyche..
and yeah for the Cupid and Psyche statue!! this is quite a breathtaking and impressive statue to see :p)

Yeah it's beautiful, infact I really want to go to Paris just to see the statue!
