Since I did so much java programming in my last class, I decided to learn how to program applets. It's not elegent, it's not pretty, but it is a slideshow of some baby pictures at http://www.oregonstate.edu/~hagerw/baby/Read more... )

it told me not found. i have a slide show on my web page and all i did was make a power point presentation and then in the file menu there is a save as web page menu which will make a file and a html document link the html doc and put both on your web server.

Hmm, that's disquieting if it's giving you an Applet not found error. I wonder if it's your browser settings (sometimes they are automatically set to not run Java) or if something's wonky with my applet. Not found would make me think that it's because of the html page and not the applet per se.

I also did it in Java as opposed to using HTML or Powerpoint pretty much to see if I could program it. It was more of an exercise in teaching me how to write applets then to get a slideshow up.
