Today was a reasonably productive day: I signed up for health insurance, set up my 401(k), figured out how to make partially transparent images in Java, and discovered that Tom Waits actually wrote "Looks like I'm up shit creek again", which always struck me as a bit too pedestrian to be a Tom Waits song. Because the first five were cool and compelling, and the second five were weak and unsatisfying.

To put it another way: the stuff Zelazny made up as he went along in the first five was better and more enjoyable to read about than the stuff he made up as he went along in the second five.
