--nngh..... Where....

....

Is that...

....

Oh Lord, no. No, this can't--! [The voice cuts off in a hiss of pain.

So Grell is back and not so happy per usual. She's been dumped in the middle of the town square, quite beaten up and more than a little broken, and, most of all, quite human. For the next two weeks, Grell is one of the plain old ( Read more... )

[Another evening of patrol. Another evening of looking out for Buffy.

...and speaking of kidnap victims...

Giles stops dead when he sees the lump of red on the ground, and that lump of red resolves itself into Grell.]

Oh. Um...

...um...

...h-hello.

[Grell looks...kind of beaten up. He guesses that's generally what happens when you come back from a kidnapping, but. Um.]

[Grell whips her head around, instantly regretting the move and wincing, almost collapsing against the ground again. She tries to push herself at least up onto her hands, but her arms are shaking too badly to get more than a small distance off the pavement.]

...Oh it would be you, wouldn't it. Better than the Heroine, I suppose.

Yes, but you're my favorite witch~ consultmybooks August 16 2011, 02:08:31 UTC
Yes, it would be me. That's, um, that's why I keep up with these patrols, after all. Why we both do.

Although Buffy isn't in town at the moment.

[Giles lets himself take a couple of very small steps nearer.]

...you're hurt.

I know. I met Blondie in the detention centre. Delightful conversation partner, that one. Likes to punch at the walls for no good reason.

[Grell keeps trying to push herself off the ground, giving Giles a cold look. She doesn't want anyone to get too close. If they do, they could find out about her little...mortality problem.]

How observant of you.

Well, yes, but can I help you any?

[Pause. Her Ma would dress her down for that kind of sass.]

I'm sorry, ma'am, that was awful rude of me. I just wanna know if you need anything.

[Because she doesn't recognize this voice.]

[Alice is having issues of her own right now. Ginia still isn't back and while she's enjoying mundane things like gardening, cooking, going to beach parties, and walking around and almost feeling like a normal person, it also terrifies the hell out of her and is making her a little twitchy.

So she's out taking a walk through the town and going wherever it pleases her. It just so happens this walk takes her through the center of town. She slows down as she sees Grell sprawled out on the ground.]

[To which Grell is going to keep trying to get onto her hands and knees - and keep failing. Being mortal blows.]

Oh hell....

[Alice isn't quite the best rescuerer, being a bit on the testy side and mute. However, she's not heartless and with everyone that pitched in to help her out, it only seems right to return the favor.

And no one's filled Ginia in on Grell's history so it's all neutral ground.

She takes out her notepad and kneels down, scribbling out a message for Grell to read.]

I can get you to a clinic if you want the help.

[Oh holy akdfkj;a Grell hadn't been paying attention so when someone suddenly stops by her and puts a notebook down, she jumps. And falls to her side, wincing.]

Who are you?

[Yup! Grabbing his jacket and running, that was all he needed. Poor Grell ;; Even if he is probably the only one in Luceti to think this way. :| When he shows up he's obviously a little out of breath from jogging, jumping out the window (fuck stairs) and cheating with his devil fruit to go faster.]

[Archie very nearly trips over her on his way back from the grocery store. At first it's all apologies. Then he sees who he almost stepped on and goes quiet.]

[OW. Almost being tripped over. Grell raises her head, ready to chew out whoever just almost stepped on her, when she sees who it is.

And freezes.

Well....balls.]

[He stares down at her, pale and unmoving, not even breathing for several seconds. Then, he takes in a sudden breath as if remembering that he has to breathe in order to live, blinking rapidly several times in succession like he's waking up.

She's hurt. She's hurt and not getting up. But that might change, somehow, if he moves before she does.]

[They both have the same reaction, Grell moreso since before she simply didn't have to breathe if she didn't want to. She ends up choking, turning her head away to cough and press a hand to her chest. Mortality blows...!!!]

Ha.... Of course. Well, isn't this...ironic.
